EVERYNIGHT, when it’s time to go to bed, i lay on my side and instantly my arm goes numb. So i turn and lay on my other side, and that arm goes numb too. It starts in my shoulder and moves down all the way to my fingers. It sort of aches a slight bit, and gets tingly. Then i’m up all night. I have to lay straight like a stick to get to sleep.
Another thing that happens is my lower back, on the right side, i get sharp pains. Right above my hip bone. And if i try to rub it, it doesnt help. It feels more internal if that makes sense. Like it can’t be rubbed. Its the worst back pain, and nothing i do relives it. Stretching, taking aspirin or something, heating pads… nothing. The pain comes about 2-4 times a month. And the next day it will be gone. If i put weight on my right side (like when i walk) It hurts the most, and i have a horrible limp.
Do i have a pinched nerve in my spine? Can someone tell me what is wrong?
I have been to the Chiropractor but he just cracked my back and it was gone for about a month, then it came back. Both arms and my back. BTW im only 17

Lets say you are about 65 years old.
Retired from a coal mining place
You have no wife
Your children live clear accross the country and you know they will not want to take care of you.
They are well off, and financially stable. You can trust them with money.
You smoke and had a heart attack at 50, so no long term insurance
You have, lets say a million in a taxable account due to an old job that had asbestos and you got lawsuit money. Your health is very bad.
You expect to be in a nursing home by the age 70
(suppose you can predict the future for this quesiton)
You know that a nursing home will expect you to use your accounts to pay.
Then when you are wiped out, you can qualify for medicare/medicaid (not sure).
Could a person hide money so a nursing home won’t wipe out those assets?
Your home is low value, so it may not be used to pay for nursing home.
And you drive a cheap old car.
I know this is unethical. But I suspect people do this all the time.
How is it done? Do they just give money to their grandchildren?
That way when they go into a nursing home in 10 years, they will have no cash and qualify for medicaire?
This is NOT personal. I’m not old, I don’t have health problems.
Purely hypothetical (made up).

Welfare just keeps the people alive and allows them to continue to suffer. Why don’t people realize that by ending welfare programs and all other programs all suffering in America would end a lot sooner?
P.S.
This should apply to all the job destruction caused by any form of regulation.

I consider myself to be a Conservative and find myself disagreeing with other people who call them selves conservatives. To me Bush was not a conservative with his spending and growing the size and scope of government. His medicare plan D plan. Romney is a Liberal based on his actions in Mass. with his socialized health care. Perry tried to force 12 year old girls to take inoculation and Perry also supported Al Gore.
To me being a true Conservative means being against almost all government spending and intervention into both Financial and social issues of individuals. I believe in limited government. Most spending of government Like the Dept of Education and Commerce and ALL welfare should be eliminated. A military that is for defensive purposes.
Have Republicans even heard of Barry Goldwater. What happened to the party of freedom??????

Most undeveloped countries spend less than 1 per cent of their GDP on health care because their elites can jet away to London etc when they need treatment and don’t care what happens to the ordinary people. What happens to all that foreign aid?? Shouldn’t it be more tightly targeted?

In 2011, discretionary (non security) spending totaled an estimate of 420 billion dollars -http://budget.house.gov/News/DocumentSin…
Just to put this into perspective discretionary spending 10 years ago was about 370 billion, and when you adjust for inflation the difference really isn’t big at all.
However, since 2001, Spending on security has gone up by around 360 billion, mandatory programs like social security/medicare/medicaid have gone up by almost 600 billion, and tax revenue has gone DOWN by nearly 500 billion. http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/RL34424.…
So can someone explain the republican talking points to me? They want to invade Iran so obviously security spending would increase, obviously tax revenue would decrease if they’re running on tax cuts, and even with that, if they were to cut discretionary spending to absolutely nothing, they still wouldn’t have spending levels anywhere near where it was 10 years ago.
Discretionary spending obviously isn’t the problem. We need to reform the entitlements, raise taxes, and get the **** out of the middle east if we want to do anything about the deficit.

“This is more evidence that the new law is an insidious plot to euthanize large segments of the elderly population by allowing people to die of treatable ailments in order to make health care more affordable for the younger citizens. The new law mandates a total cut of Medicare expenditures by 575 billion dollars between 2011 and 2019. Medicare is now spending 92 billion dollars per year for hospitalizing people over the age of 75 for ailments like pneumonia, blood infection and bladder infection, which would be 100% fatal without hospital care. Therefore, the new law mandates a 68% reduction in hospital expenditures for anyone over the age of 75. That means by 2019 almost 70% of all people who are over the age of 75 will have been denied hospitalization and will have died prematurely of treatable diseases.”
I guess this is how they’ll get rid of the boomers. But yet they still take your money when you hit 75. This was confirmed by Mark Levin who just returned from a meeting about Obamacare. He is one of the attorneys who will be presenting the case to the Supreme Court.
Does Obama and Pelosi know this is in the bill? This could finish him in the election. My generation isn’t going to like this.
